Engine and Transmission, Separating

• Engine/transmission assembly removed and mounted on engine/transmission support (T10012).

- Remove the bolt - 1 - from mounted transmission.






- Remove the shield - 2 - upward and out.

• Shown in the illustration with transmission removed.

- Remove bolts - 1 through 8 - at engine/transmission flange.






- Remove the starter.

• The manual transmission can be pulled off from the engine without the use of the shop crane; the assistance of a second technician is required.

- Pull transmission off from engine.
