Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ MIL on.
^ One or more of the following DTCs are stored in the ECM data memory:
^ DTC P0642 (Sensor Voltage Circuit A, Low Voltage).
^ DTC P2004 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Bank 1, Stuck Open).
^ DTC P2008 (Intake Flap for Airflow Control, Electrical Malfunction).
^ DTC P3137 (Intake Manifold Runner Control Circuit Bank 1, Basic Settings not Carried Out).
^ DTC P3138 (Intake Flap for Airflow Control, Control Difference).
Technical Background
The Intake Flap Motor V157 or Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor G336 may be inoperative. (Both are included in one single unit).
Production Solution
Robust motor introduced in production.
Service
1. Verify that 24T3 UPDATE - IMRC Motor (Warr_Ext) was performed (if applicable).
2. Check part number of actuator installed.
^ If part number of the actuator is 06F 133 482 (model year 2005) or 06F 133 482 E (model year 2006>) (Figure 1), no further work is required.
If Intake Flap Motor V157 (06F 133 482 E or 06F 133 482) is not installed:
1. Replace Intake Flap Motor and perform basic setting Channel 142. (Refer to parts chart below).
If Intake Flap Motor V157 (06F 133 482 E or 06F 133 482) is already installed:
1. Repair vehicle as per GFF diagnostic result.
