ATF Pipes
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782 )
• Plug Set, Engine (VAS 6122)
• Protective glasses
• Observe cleanliness rules when working on automatic transmissions. Refer to => [ Cleanliness Working Conditions ] Cleanliness Working Conditions.
• Thoroughly clean all connections and the surrounding area before disconnecting.
Removing
- Mark all corresponding ATF lines in color to prevent mix-ups.
- Place the Oil Collecting and Extracting Device ( V.A.G 1782) the separating joint.
CAUTION!
Wear protective glasses.
- Disconnect ATF lines.
- Seal any open lines and connections with a clean plug from the Engine Plug Set (VAS 6122).
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
- Clean ATF lines. Refer to => [ ATF Lines and Cooler, Cleaning ] 01V,01VA Transmission.
- Replace the O-rings and coat to ATF.
- Insert ATF lines by hand completely into transmission or cooler as far as stop and then tighten.
- Check and correct ATF level in planetary gearing. Refer to => [ ATF Level In Planetary Gearing, Checking and Correcting ] ATF Level In Planetary Gearing, Checking and Correcting.
