Solenoid Valves and Pressure Regulator Valves (A/T 01V) Checking



Solenoid Valves And Pressure Regulator Valves (Automatic Transmission 01V) Checking

Test requirements:
- Ignition switched off.

NOTE:
- The specified values indicated are valid for an ambient temperature range of 10-40 degrees C.
- If the values obtained differ from the specified values, determine the malfunction using the applicable wiring diagram.
- If the readings obtained differ only slightly from the specified values, clean sockets and connectors of the testers and test leads and repeat test.

Test sequence
- Connect V.A.G 1598/20 test box to wiring harness of Transmission Control Module (TCM).







- Connect multimeter to test box sockets for resistance measurement as follows:







If specified values fall short or are exceeded:
- Connect multimeter for resistance measurement as follows:

Test box Socket Specified value Ohm
52 + 53 smaller than 1

If specified value is exceeded:
- Check 16-pin harness connector to transmission for contact corrosion.
- Check wire connection between Transmission Control Module (TCM) and 16-pin harness connector. Component Tests and General Diagnostics
- Check wiring harness in transmission according to wiring diagram, replace if necessary.
- Replace solenoid valve or pressure regulator valve.
