Connect Test Box To Wiring Harness Of Transmission Control Module (TCM) For Wiring And Component Test - Automatic Transmission 01V

Work procedure
- Switch ignition off.
- Remove rubber seal from plenum chamber cover.
- Remove plenum chamber cover -1- toward front (arrows).
- Pry off both covers -3- using a screwdriver.
- Loosen hex-nuts -4- by several turns.
- Loosen wiper arm -2- from wiper axle by lightly tilting.
- Remove hex nuts completely and remove wiper arms.
- Disconnect securing clips -1- and remove cowl grill -5-.
- Remove cover for E-box, plenum chamber (arrows).
- Using a screwdriver, pry off retaining bracket (arrow).
- Set aside Engine Control Module (ECM) with harness connectors still connected.
- Unclip Transmission Control Module (TCM) retaining bracket.
- Disengage harness connector (arrow) and disconnect it from Transmission Control Module (TCM), to do this, ignition must be switched off for at least 30 sec.
NOTE: Adaptation values in Transmission Control Module (TCM) are reset when disconnecting the harness connector. Control module must learn this value again after bringing into operation again. Gear changing quality may be poorer than normal during this "learning" process.
Assembling
Assembly is performed in reverse order of removal,. Note the following:
Final procedures
After connecting harness connector to Transmission Control Module (TCM) or on wiring harness to TCM, the following work steps must be performed in the mentioned sequence:
1. Check DTC memory. Diagnostic Mode 03 - Read DTC Memory
2. If necessary, erase DTC memory. Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory
3. If DTC memory was erased, generate readiness code.
- End diagnosis and switch ignition off.
