Displaying and Reading Trouble Codes

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, scanning - 01V, 5 Speed A/T

- Connect VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System and in selection touch vehicle system "02 - Transmission Electronics". Ignition must be switched ON.





Display on VAS 5051:
^ In selection touch -1- diagnostic function "02 - Scan DTC memory".





Display on VAS 5051:

1 - Contents of the DTC memory:
^ 0 DTCs detected

or

- X DTCs detected

2 - DTC
^ DTC number
^ Location of DTC
^ Type of DTC

A - If DTCs were recognized:

- Print out contents of screen or OBD protocol.
- End function "02 - Scan DTC memory" by touching < button.





Display on VAS 5051:
- Repair malfunction(s) using the Test Chart.
- In selection touch diagnostic function "02 - Scan DTC memory" again and delete DTC memory.
- Touch "06 - End output".

B - If no DTC was detected:

- Touch "06 - End output".
