Conventional Clutch Assembly Overview
1 Flywheel or dual-mass flywheel
• Make sure centering pins fit securely
• Contact surface for clutch lining must be free of grooves, oil and grease
• Removing and installing flywheel
2 Flywheel bolt
• Always replace
• Bolt length 22.5 mm 60 Nm plus an additional 90° turn
• Bolt length 43 mm 60 Nm plus an additional 180° turn
3 Clutch plate
• Installation position: Clutch disc lining must make full contact with flywheel
• "Getriebeseite" marking, if present, faces toward pressure plate or transmission
• Spring pack (coil springs) faces toward pressure plate or transmission

4 Pressure plate
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Centering Clutch Plate and Removing and Installing Pressure Plate ] Conventional Clutch
• Checking ends of the diaphragm spring, refer to => [ Checking Ends of the Diaphragm Spring ] Conventional Clutch
• Check spring connection and rivet connections, refer to => [ Checking Spring Connection and Rivet Connections ] Conventional Clutch
• Check wire ring, refer to => [ Checking Wire Ring ] Conventional Clutch
5 Bolt, 22 Nm
• Loosen and tighten in small steps diagonally
6 Needle bearing
• Removing and installing, refer to => Engine Mechanical
Engine
