Seat Height Adjustment Unit, Removing And Installing

- Torque wrench V.A.G 1410







- Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095







- Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136







1 - Retaining clamp
2 - Seat height adjustment handle lever
3 - Seat height adjustment unit

- Removal
- Remove seat.
- Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
- Remove backrest adjustment wheel.
- Remove seat height adjustment handle.
- Remove side trim on sill side.
- Remove nut - 5 -.
- Remove bolts - 7 - (2x).
- Remove screw - 4 -.
- Remove seat height adjustment unit - 3 - and retaining plate - 6 -.

- Installing
Installation is reverse of removal. When doing so, note the following:
- Make sure that the retaining plate - 6 - makes contact on backrest frame at location indicated by arrow.
- Ensure retaining clamp - 1 - is positioned on seat height adjustment handle lever - 2 -. Note installation position.
4 - Screw
- Tightening torque 8 Nm
5 - Nut
- Tightening torque 12 Nm
6 - Retaining plate
7 - Screws, (2x)
- Tightening torque 8 Nm
