Spring Mat with Seat Pan Wiring Harness

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095)





Fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136)









1 Cable Ties (Qty. 4)

2 Spring Mat with Wiring Harness

Removing

- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Power Front Memory Seat ] Power Front Memory Seat.

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove side trim on sill side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Sill Side ] Side Trim, Sill Side.

- Remove side trim on tunnel side. Refer to => [ Side Trim, Tunnel Side ] Side Trim, Tunnel Side.

- Remove belt buckle:

Belt latch anchorage point. Refer to => [ Belt Latch, Standard, Memory and Recaro Seats ] Service and Repair

Seat Occupied Recognition passenger airbag deactivation safety belt latch (country-specific), replacing, refer to => [ Passive Occupant Detection System Belt Latch ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Front Backrest ] Front Backrest.

- Remove cover and padding from seat pan. Refer to => [ Seat Pan Cover and Cushion, Sport Seat ] Front Seat Covers and Cushion, Power Memory Seats.

- Remove cable ties - 1 - (Qty. 4).

- Disengage spring mat - 2 - at - A - positions (Qty. 2).

- Disengage spring mat - 2 - at - B - positions (Qty. 4).

- Tip seat to side.

- Disconnect connectors - 3 - (Qty. 3).

- for vehicles with seatbelt fasten sensor: Loosen cable.

- Remove screw - 5 -.

- Remove spring mat with wiring harness - 2 -.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. When doing so, note the following:

- If metal tabs on positions - A - and - B - are damaged: Replace seat pan.
