HID Headlamps

CAUTION!
Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

• Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.

• Switch the ignition off.

• Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

• After reconnecting vehicle battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according to Repair Information and/or Owner's Manual.

• Steps after reconnecting voltage supply => Battery.

CAUTION!
high voltage!

Make sure to disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before performing work on parts of High intensity gas discharge (xenon) headlamps marked with yellow high voltage symbols.

Headlamp Housing Repair Kit

• Headlamp mounting tabs that have broken off can be replaced by installing the repair set. Complete replacement of the headlamp is not necessary.

• Different repair sets are available for the left and the right headlamp.

- Remove headlamp with broken mounting tab => [ HID Headlamps ].

- Remove remains of broken mounting tabs - 1 - and - 5 - at headlamp housing.





- Place mounting tabs - 2 - and - 4 - of repair set onto the edge of the headlamp housing and secure the tabs using two screws - 3 - from above.
