Mounting Transmission on Assembly Stand

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Support clamp (VW 313)

• Engine and transmission support (VW 540)

• Workshop crane (VAS 6100)

• Transmission lift hook (T40013)

Procedure





- Insert transmission lift hook (T40013) in lifting eye on transmission and secure.

- Install hook of workshop crane (VAS 6100 ) in 4th notch - arrow - on transmission lift hook (T40013).

- Lift transmission with workshop crane (VAS 6100 ) and transmission lift hook (T40013).

- Secure holding fixture (VW 540) to transmission and install into support clamp (VW 313).
