• Starting with VIN "400000" of model year 2005 (Sedan and Avant) and "012913" of model year 2005 (Cabrio), a modified sunlight photo sensor (G107) and a modified Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head are installed. In the case of the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head with a part number up to index "AH", only the sunlight photo sensor ( G107) with a part number 8E0 907 539 may be installed in vehicles up to VIN "399999" of model year 2005 (Sedan and Avant) and " 012912" of model year 2005 (Cabrio). In the case of the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head with a part number up to index "AJ", only the sunlight photo sensor (G107) with a part number 8P0 907 539 may be installed in vehicles starting with VIN "400000" of model year 2005 (Sedan and Avant) and "012913" of model year 2005 (Cabrio).
• If the allocation between the sunlight photo sensor (G107) and the Climatronic control module ( J255) A/C control head is incorrect, the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head cannot evaluate the signal from the sunlight photo sensor (G107) and the A/C system control will malfunction.
Remove from and install in vehicles up to VIN " 399999" of model year 2005 (in the Sedan and Avant) and "012912 " of model year 2005 (Cabrio).
- Carefully pry cover - A - in the direct of the - arrow - out of the windshield defroster vent.
- Remove bolt - B -.
- Remove the sunlight photo sensor (G107) from the windshield defroster vent.
- Secure connector - C - so that it does not slide into the instrument panel and disconnect it from the sunlight photo sensor (G107).
Remove from and install in vehicles starting with VIN " 400000" of model year 2005 (in the Sedan and Avant) and "0129123 " of model year 2005 (Cabrio).
- Carefully pry cover - A - in the direct of the - arrow - out of the windshield defroster vent.
- Pry the sunlight photo sensor (G107) - B - out of the windshield defroster vent.
• Sunlight photo sensor (G107) - B - is clipped in the defroster vent
- Secure connector - C - so that it does not slide into the instrument panel and disconnect it from sunlight photo sensor (G107) - B -.
