Sunlight Photo Sensor

Starting with VIN "400000" of model year 2005 (Sedan and Avant) and "012913" of model year 2005 (Cabrio), a modified sunlight photo sensor (G107) and a modified Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head are installed. In the case of the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head with a part number up to index "AH", only the sunlight photo sensor ( G107) with a part number 8E0 907 539 may be installed in vehicles up to VIN "399999" of model year 2005 (Sedan and Avant) and " 012912" of model year 2005 (Cabrio). In the case of the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head with a part number up to index "AJ", only the sunlight photo sensor (G107) with a part number 8P0 907 539 may be installed in vehicles starting with VIN "400000" of model year 2005 (Sedan and Avant) and "012913" of model year 2005 (Cabrio).

If the allocation between the sunlight photo sensor (G107) and the Climatronic control module ( J255) A/C control head is incorrect, the Climatronic control module (J255) A/C control head cannot evaluate the signal from the sunlight photo sensor (G107) and the A/C system control will malfunction.

Remove from and install in vehicles up to VIN " 399999" of model year 2005 (in the Sedan and Avant) and "012912 " of model year 2005 (Cabrio).

- Carefully pry cover - A - in the direct of the - arrow - out of the windshield defroster vent.





- Remove bolt - B -.

- Remove the sunlight photo sensor (G107) from the windshield defroster vent.

- Secure connector - C - so that it does not slide into the instrument panel and disconnect it from the sunlight photo sensor (G107).

Remove from and install in vehicles starting with VIN " 400000" of model year 2005 (in the Sedan and Avant) and "0129123 " of model year 2005 (Cabrio).

- Carefully pry cover - A - in the direct of the - arrow - out of the windshield defroster vent.





- Pry the sunlight photo sensor (G107) - B - out of the windshield defroster vent.

- Secure connector - C - so that it does not slide into the instrument panel and disconnect it from sunlight photo sensor (G107) - B -.
