Condition

On vehicles with 2.0 TFSI engine and Multitronic (CVT) transmission, the customer complains of a light shudder that lasts about 1 second while coming to a stop under light braking at around 25 mph.

Technical Background

The cause of this condition is the software calibration of the Engine Control Module (ECM).

Production Solution

Improved software for the ECM.

Service

Perform the ECM software update in TSB 2017905 01 MIL on (DTC P0601 stored in ECM).
