• From August 2005, the conventional wiring harness routing to the connector station under the front seat, refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing Assembly Overview, from August 2005 ].
• The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.

• Airbag adapter (VAS 6036)
• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System ( VAS 5051 A)
CAUTION!
Technician must be grounded before disconnecting ignition and ground wiring, touching door striker or body.
CAUTION!
The Airbag Adapter (VAS 6036) must stay connected to seat until seat is installed again.
1 Power Supply Connector, Seat Side (Red)
2 Power Supply Connector, Adapter Side (Red)
3 Side Airbag Connector, Adapter Side (Yellow)
- Disconnect ignition and ground wiring.
- Connect airbag connector - 4 - to airbag adapter connector - 3 -.
4 Side Airbag Connector, Seat Side (Yellow)
Side Airbag Connector, Disconnecting
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System ( VAS 5051 A)
- Press catch - 3 - of airbag connector - 2 - out of airbag adapter connector - 1 - and disconnect airbag connector - 2 -.
- Follow measures after connecting battery.
• If the Airbag Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ( K75) shows a malfunction after assembly, DTC memory must be checked with Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System ( VAS 5051 A), cleared and then rechecked.
