Drift (VW 295)

Adapter (VW 295 A)

Punch (VW 408 A)

Sleeve (VW 423)

Slide Hammer (VW 771)

Holding Plate (VW 801)

Guide Pin (10 - 15)

Thrust Pad (40 - 503)

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

- 1 - Internal Puller (Kukko 21/2 )

- 4 - Counter-Support (Kukko 22/2 )

Selector Shaft Sealing Ring, Removing from Disassembled Transmission





Installing the Seal - C - with the Selector Shaft Installed





- Push Assembly Sleeve (01E 311 120) - A - onto selector shaft - B -.

Driving in Selector Shaft Seal





- Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease (G 052 128 A1).

- Lightly oil outer circumference of seal.

- Install the sealing ring - arrow - into the housing up to the stop.

Removing and Installing the Selector Rod Securing Bushing





- Remove the old securing bushing - A - toward the inside into the transmission housing.

- Install the new securing bushing flush into the transmission housing - B -.

Remove the Ball Sleeve - C - from the Transmission Housing.

B Internal Puller 14.5 - 18.5 mm, e.g. (Kukko 21/2)

Removing the Input Shaft Needle Sleeve from the Transmission Housing





- Remove the bolt for the needle sleeve lock. Refer to => [ Securing the Input Shaft Needle Sleeve ].

- Install the Needle Bearing Drift (VW 295 A) with the smaller outer circumference into the needle sleeve.

- Remove the needle sleeve with the Needle Bearing Drift (VW 295).

Installing the Input Shaft Needle Sleeve





- Secure the needle sleeve after installing. Refer to => [ Securing the Input Shaft Needle Sleeve ]

Securing the Input Shaft Needle Sleeve





- The bolt - 2 - secures the input shaft needle sleeve.

- Install the oil collector tray - 1 - into the transmission housing.

Remove Selector Shaft Ball Sleeve





A Internal Puller 14.5 - 18.5 mm, e.g. (Kukko 21/2)

Selector Shaft Ball Sleeve, Driving on





Set ball sleeve in place with inscribed side (thicker wall) facing toward Guide Pin (10 - 15).

- Install the ball sleeve flush.
