C-Pillar Trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1410)





CAUTION!

1 C-pillar Trim

Removal:

- Remove - D - pillar trim. Refer to => [ D-Pillar Trim ] D-Pillar Trim.

- Remove two bolts - 2 - on C-pillar trim - 1 - at top and bottom.

- Remove side upholstery. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seats.

- Remove clip - 3 - beneath side panel: Press a screwdriver between both parts of the clip and pull the upper part upward. Lower clip part compresses and can be loosened.

- Unclip rear shelf at outer clip and raise it up.

- Unclip C-pillar trim at clip - 4 - and remove it.

Installing:

CAUTION!
Always follow installation sequence for C-pillar trim.

- Raise rear shelf.

- Position trim - 1 - into mounts at rear shelf.

- Install clip - 4 - in its mount.

- Press lower part of clip - 3 - together and insert clip again.

- Reinstall two bolts - 2 -.

CAUTION!
Ensure trim is held securely.

- Secure rear shelf and side upholstery.

2 Screws, (Qty. 2)

Tightening specification 4 Nm

Self-locking

Replace after each disassembly

Threaded holes for screws must always be cleaned (for example, with thread cutter)

3 Clip (Qty. 1)

4 Clamp (Qty. 1)
