Connectors, Disconnecting
Standard Front Seat, from November 2004
• From August 2005, the conventional wiring harness routing to the connector station under the front seat. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] has been replaced with modular wiring routing. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing, from August 2005, Assembly Overview ].
• The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.
Connectors, Disconnecting
CAUTION!
• Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.
• Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

- Tip front seat - 1 - back.
Without modular wiring routing, through August 2005
- Remove connector station cover - 6 - upward.
With modular wiring routing, from August 2005
- Remove connector station cover. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing with Corrugated Tube on Front Seat ].
All Vehicles
- Press in tab on airbag connector - 5 - on tunnel side and disconnect airbag connector - 5 -.
- Press in tab on connector for voltage supply - 4 - on tunnel side and disconnect connector for voltage supply - 4 -.
- Press in tab on connector for heated seat - 3 - on tunnel side and disconnect connector for heated seat - 3 -.
- for vehicles with seatbelt fasten sensor: Press in tab on connector for seatbelt fasten sensor - 2 - on tunnel side and disconnect connector for seatbelt fasten sensor - 2 -.
- Connect airbag adapter. Refer to => [ Airbag Adapter, Connecting ].
• Installing
To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.
