Windshield Washer System

CAUTION!
Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

• Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.

• Switch the ignition off.

• Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

• After reconnecting vehicle battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according to Repair Information and/or Owner's Manual.

• Steps after reconnecting voltage supply => Battery.

Washer Fluid Reservoir

Upper Washer Fluid Reservoir, Removing

- Remove cover - 1 - in engine compartment (left side).





- Unbolt upper part of washer fluid reservoir - arrows -.





- Pull upper part of washer fluid reservoir out from bottom section of washer fluid reservoir.

Lower Washer Fluid Reservoir, Removing

- Remove left front wheel.

- Remove wheel housing liner, front left: => Body and Frame Body and Frame

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 3 -.





- Remove washer fluid hose - 1 - at washer fluid pump.

- Remove bolts - 2 -, - 4 - and - 5 - of lower part of washer fluid reservoir.

- Swivel lower part of washer fluid reservoir slightly toward rear.

- Disconnect electrical harness connectors - 1 - and - 2 - at front side of reservoir.





- Remove hose connection - 3 - (press release button).

- Remove washer fluid reservoir downward.

• Illustration depicts washer fluid reservoir from front with the bumper removed.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, paying attention to the following:

- Tighten the bolts in order - 2 -, - 4 - and - 5 -.





• Washer fluid hose must engage audibly into connection for washer fluid pump.

Tightening Specifications





Spray Nozzles

Removing

- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

- Unclip base of spray jet from bottom of hood - arrow -.





- Disconnect washer fluid hose from unclipped spray jet.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector, if present.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, paying attention to the following:

• Washer fluid hose must engage audibly into connection for spray jet.
