1 - Rollover Protection

• Removing

CAUTION!
Note the safety precautions for the roll-over protection. Refer to => [ Rollover Protection Safety Precautions ] Airbag Safety Precautions.

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Rear Bench Seat ] Rear Seats.

- Remove rear seat backrest. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Backrest ] Rear Seats.

- Remove the pass-through trim. Refer to => [ Ski Sack Trim ] Rear Seat Covers and Cushion.

- Close the convertible top and fold the convertible top compartment up.

- Remove the clips - 3 - (Qty. 2) on the rear panel trim - 2 -.

- Fold the rear panel trim - 2 - in direction of arrow to the side.

1 - Rollover Protection

• Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 2).

• Fold the convertible top compartment downward.

2 - Screws, (Qty. 2)





1 - Rollover Protection

• Open the convertible top until there is access to the convertible top compartment.

• Deploy the roll-over protection - 1 -

• Remove the clips - 3 - (Qty. 2) on the rear panel trim - 2 -.

• Fold the rear panel trim - 2 - in direction of arrow to the side.

1 - Rollover Protection

• See if and where there are spacers on the roll-over protection - 1 -.

• Mark the places where the spacers were removed.

• Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 4).

2 - Screws (Qty. 4)

• Press the release - 3 - and disconnect the solenoid valve connector - 2 -.

• Remove the roll-over protection - 1 -.

• Installing

CAUTION!
Note the safety precautions for the roll-over protection. Refer to => [ Rollover Protection Safety Precautions ] Airbag Safety Precautions. When driving in rollover protection, make sure hands are not jammed.

- Install the spacers on the roll-over protection - 1 - on the same locations, if equipped.

- Move the roll-over protection in - 1 -.

- Make sure the solenoid valve connector - 2 - engages.

- Install the roll-over protection - 1 - in reverse order of removal.

- Check the function of the roll-over protection with the actuator test.

Rollover Protection, Retracting





- Press release lever - 1 - in direction of arrow.

- Install the roll-over protection.

Rollover Protection Impact Bar

- Remove the rollover bracket. Refer to Guided Fault Finding.





- Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 4). Tightening specification 5 Nm.

- Remove impact bar - 1 - upward.

- Slide the impact bar on the backside under the guide.
