^ Sensors must be properly attached and adjusted; refer to operating instructions of equipment manufacturer.

^ Tread depth difference of no more than 2 mm on one axle.

^ Tires inflated to correct pressures

^ Make sure that the sliding plates and turntables are not touching the end stop when checking alignment.

^ Vehicle unladen *see note

* "Unladen" means: the weight of the vehicle ready for the road (full tank, full windshield washer/headlight cleaner fluid container, spare wheel, vehicle tools and vehicle jack), without driver.

Spare wheel, vehicle tool kit and jack must be in their specified locations.

^ Vehicle accurately aligned, suspension bounced and rocked several times

^ Check suspension, steering and steering linkage for excessive play or damage and service if necessary.

^ Perform wheel rim runout compensation: A certain amount of axial runout at the wheel rims is permissible, but this may already exceed the specified toe-in tolerance. In such cases it is not possible to set the toe-in correctly without compensating for the wheel runout.

Wheel alignment must be checked:

^ If handling or road behavior is poor,

^ If accident damage has occurred,

^ If suspension components have been removed,

^ If tires are worn unevenly.
