Immobilizer IV Remote Memory Profiles Are Not Saved For More Than 4 Transmitters

Condition

For Immobilizer IV-equipped vehicles, up to 8 keys can be adapted to the vehicle using the VAS 5051/5052 tester with an on-line connection. The Access/Start Control Module -J518- can only store 4 memory profiles.

Service

When performing the Key Adaptation Process for a new, replacement or additional key, it is necessary:

- To adapt ALL remote transmitter keys first.

- Followed by the valet and emergency keys.

If there are more than 4 keys adapted to the vehicle:

- It is necessary to advise the customer that ONLY the first 4 keys can have their memory profiles stored.
