Removing





- Remove luggage compartment floor - 1 - and spare wheel cover - 2 -.

CAUTION!
Note safety precautions for working on airbags. Refer to => [ Airbag System General Safety Precautions ] Airbag System General Safety Precautions and side airbags => [ Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions ] Side Airbag Additional Safety Precautions and side curtain airbags => [ Side Curtain Additional Airbag Safety Precautions ] Side Curtain Additional Airbag Safety Precautions.

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove side airbag. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seat Side Upholstery

- Remove luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Side Trim.

- If equipped, release clips - A arrows - and swing Towing Recognition Control Module (J345) - Item 1 - out a little.





- Release clip - arrow B - and swing Towing Recognition Control Module (J345) out of mounting bracket.

- Lay aside Towing Recognition Control Module (J345) with electrical lines - 2 to 4 - connected.

- If equipped, release clip - arrow - and swing Parking Aid Control Module (J446) - Item 4 - out of mounting bracket.





- Lay aside Towing Recognition Control Module (J446) with electrical lines - 1 to 3 - connected.

Vehicles with air suspension:





- Remove spreader pins - arrows - and remove cover - 1 -.

- Remove pressure tank.

All:

- Remove screws and remove tie-down retaining track mounts.

- Remove cargo tray.

Installation

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install pressure tank.

- Install luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] Luggage Compartment Side Trim.

- Install side airbag. Refer to => [ Rear Seat Side Upholstery ] Rear Seat Side Upholstery.

- Install the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

Tightening Specifications
