Front Body Acceleration Sensors

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

• The sensors for the front body acceleration sensor are installed in the left and right upper wheel housing.

- Remove the wheel.

- Disconnect connector - 1 -.






- Remove the nuts - arrow - and the body acceleration sensor - 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the nuts - arrows - for the body acceleration sensor and tighten to 6 Nm.






- Connect the connector - 1 -.

- Mount wheel and tighten.

- Place vehicle on wheels. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels ] Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels.

- Check the body acceleration signal. Refer to => [ Body Acceleration Sensor, Checking Acceleration Signal ] Body Acceleration Sensor, Checking Acceleration Signal.
