Affected vehicles

97 Fault entry in vehicle electrical system control module

Condition





DTC 00003 (Control unit faulty) is found logged in the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) during fault memory interrogation.

The DTC cannot be erased.

Generally, there is not a customer complaint or vehicle malfunction.

Technical Background

Emergency operation diagnosis is not correct.

Production Solution

A new software in the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) resolved the problem.

Service

- If there is not a customer complaint or vehicle malfunction, perform no further diagnosis or repairs for this DTC.





- If there is a customer complaint or vehicle malfunction, update the vehicle electrical system control module (J519) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above. Customer complaint and / or vehicle malfunction must be documented on the repair order.

Tip:

The SVM Process must be completed in its entirety so the database receives the update confirmation response. A warranty claim may not be reimbursed if there is no confirmation response to support the claim.
