Fuel Level Sensor 4, Checking, Right Tubular Sensor
Fuel Level Sensor 4, Checking, Right Tubular Sensor
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Hand-Held Multimeter (V.A.G 1526D)
• Connector Test Set (V.A.G 1594C)
Procedure
- Remove the ohms.
- Unbolt cover for right locking flange - arrows -.
- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 2 - at right locking flange.
• Ignore - 1 -.
- Connect multimeter between terminal - 2 - and - 3 - of connector - A - for resistance measurement.
• If measured value is 0 ohms there is a short circuit. If measured value is infinite ohms there is and open circuit in the wiring.
• To check resistance values "tank full" or "tank empty", the Fuel Level Sensor 4 (G393) must be removed. Refer to => [ Fuel Level Sensor 4, Right Tubular Sensor ] Fuel Level Sensor 4, Right Tubular Sensor and the sensor floater must be allowed to float to upper or lower end position.
