Condensate Drain Hose

• This vehicle is equipped with 2 condensate drains left and right at air conditioner or center tunnel.

• There is no door at valve for condensation water drain - C -.





• For complaints of moisture in passenger compartment, check the following components as well as condensation water drains:

- water drain for plenum chamber. Refer to=> [ Checking and Cleaning Plenum Chamber Water Drain ] Checking and Cleaning Plenum Chamber Water Drain

- the plenum chamber cover for correct installation. Refer to=> [ Dust and Pollen Filter ] Air Distributor Housing

- the dust and pollen filter for dirt and its cover for correct installation. Refer to => [ Dust and Pollen Filter ] Air Distributor Housing

- forced air extraction vents in luggage compartment. Refer to=> [ Vent Frame, Checking ] Vent Frame, Checking

- the function of the back pressure flap. Refer to=> [ Air Intake Shroud with Air Flow Door ] and the recirculation flap, refer to=> [ Recirculation Door Motor ] , for example with the "output diagnostic test mode" function vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

- the measured values and function of the Air Quality Sensor (G355) at the Climatronic Control Module (J255) front A/C control head vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

- the signal for detecting windshield wiper operation at the Climatronic Control Module (J255) front A/C control head vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

• Check the output temperature of the air from the evaporator using the measure values for the Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor (G263) under the conditions described by the customer with the following settings on the Climatronic Control Module (J255) A/C control head vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

- Driver and passenger temperature set to "LO".

- Intermediate fresh air blower speed approximately 7 volts vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

- "Fresh air mode" for the A/C system

• If measured value of sensor is too low at an ambient temperature above 0 °C, colder than 0 °C for extended period of time or too high greater than 10 °C even though A/C system is operating without problems, observe notes for testing cooling output. Refer to => [ Cooling Output, Checking ] Cooling Output, Checking

• Always check the right and left condensation drains.

• The following illustrations show the condensate drain for the right side of the vehicle. The test procedure is however also always to be performed in the same manner for the condensate drain on the left side.
