Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface

The Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533) is located behind the glove compartment.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Fiber optic plier repair set (VAS 6223)

• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

• If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the glove compartment.

- Disconnect all harness connectors - 2 - on data bus on board diagnostic interface (J533) - 1 -.





- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





- Remove screws - arrows - (2.5 Nm) and remove data bus on board diagnostic interface - 1 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order.
