Front Information Display Control Head Control Module, through 29 August 2008

The Front Information Display Control Head Control Module (J523) is located behind the glove compartment.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Fiber optic plier repair set (VAS 6223)

• Protective cap for cable connector (VAS 6223/9)

• If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

- Switch off all electrical consumers.

- Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the glove compartment.

- Disconnect all harness connectors - 2 - on front information display control head control module - 1 -.





- Attach the (VAS 6223/9) - 1 - onto the MOST-Bus connector - 2 -.





- Remove screws - arrows - (2.5 Nm) and remove front information display control head control module - 1 -.





Installing

- Install in reverse order.
