Contact Corrosion

Contact corrosion can occur if non-approved fasteners are used on vehicle (bolts, nuts, washers etc.).

For this reason, all fasteners used in production are specially treated. These components can be identified by their greenish surface finish.

In addition to this, all rubber and plastic parts and all adhesives are made of non-electrically conductive materials.

If you are not sure whether used parts can be reinstalled, always install new parts.

CAUTION:
- Only use genuine Audi A8 parts.
- Accessories must be approved by AUDI AG.
- Damage resulting from contact corrosion is not covered by warranty.
