Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Oil Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Securing pin (T40011)

Removing

- Remove lower section of oil pan => [ Oil Pan Lower Section ] Oil Pan Lower Section.

- Remove bolts - 1 to 3 - and the oil line.





- Press chain tensioner in direction of - arrow - and secure with locking pin (T40011).





- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 2 -.

- Remove chain tensioner.

- Remove bolts - arrows -.





- Remove oil pump and remove drive chain for oil pump from chain sprocket, pivoting the oil pump aside slightly.

Installing

The rest of installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace seals.

- Pay attention to alignment bushings during installation.

- Install lower section of oil pan => [ Oil Pan Lower Section ] Oil Pan Lower Section.

- Add engine oil and check oil level => [ Oil Level, Checking ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics.
