Exhaust System, Installing

• Align exhaust system when cold.

- Loosen threaded fasteners of all clamping sleeves on the exhaust system.

- Push rear muffler forward - arrow - until the retaining loops are adjusted to the following pretensions.





• Front retaining loop: - a - = 11 mm.

• Rear retaining loop: - a - = 14 mm.

- Align rear muffler horizontally.

- Position clamping sleeves centrally on separation points.





- Align front clamping sleeve so that the bolt ends do not project over the lower edge of the clamping sleeve.

- Align the rear clamping sleeves so that the bolt ends do not project over the lower edge of the clamping sleeves.





- Tighten clamping sleeve threaded connections evenly to 23 Nm.

Aligning tailpipe trim

- Check if the tailpipe trim has a uniform gap to the bumper all around.





• Gap - a - = Gap - a -.

- If necessary, loosen nuts on backside of bumper and align tailpipe trim.
