Connecting VAS 5051 and selecting functions

^ VAS 5051 vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system
^ Diagnostic wire VAS 5051/5a

WARNING!
^ On a test drive, test equipment must always be attached to the rear seat.
^ This equipment must only be operated by a passenger during travel.





- Plug the connector of diagnostic wire VAS 5051/5a onto the diagnostic connection.





- Switch on the tester -arrow-.

The tester is ready for operation, when the picture (photo) of a vehicle is displayed.
- Switch ignition on.
- On the screen touch the field / the key: Guided fault-finding
- In succession select:
^ Make
^ Model
^ Model year
^ Version
^ Engine code letters
- Confirm the entered data.

Note:
Wait until the tester has checked all control modules present in the vehicle.

- Press the Jump key and select the function "Function/Component selection".

Now follow the on-screen displays to start the desired functions.
