Install the complete repair kit.

After replacing the brake pads, depress the brake pedal firmly several times with the vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are properly seated in their normal operating position.

To extract brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir, use a bleeder bottle that only comes into contact with brake fluid. Brake fluid is poisonous and must never be extracted by mouth using a hose!

When replacing brake components (brake rotors, calipers or pads), always make sure you install the correct parts for the vehicle. This is essential for the proper function of the Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP).

Brake line tightening specification is 15 Nm.





1 - Brake rotor dust shield

2 - Bolt, 10 Nm

M6 x 12

3 - Brake hose

Do not disconnect the brake hose when changing brake pads.

4 - Spring clip

5 - Brake line, 15 Nm

Install one end into the brake caliper housing.

Install one end into brake hose, counter hold on the brake hose hexagon.

6 - Self locking bolt, 30 Nm

Always replace.

When loosening and tightening, counter hold on the guide pin.

7 - Ribbed bolt, 190 Nm

Clean the ribs if using bolt again.

8 - Brake carrier with guide pins and protective cap

Replacement carriers are supplied assembled with sufficient grease on the guide pins

9 - Brake rotor

Always replace both sides.

Remove the brake caliper prior to removing the rotor.

Resurface evenly, on both sides, starting from thickness when new.

Allocation, refer to => [ Front Brake Specifications ] Front Brake Specifications.

10 - Wheel bolts

Removing and installing the wheels. Refer to => Steering and Suspension Steering and Suspension

11 - Torx bolt

Tightening specification: 5 Nm.

12 - Heat shield

Insert into piston.

13 - Brake caliper housing

Do not disconnect brake hose when changing brake pads.

14 - Bracket

Bolt to brake caliper housing.

15 - Bolt, 10 Nm

16 - Brake pads

With left and right wear indicator.

Warning lamp in instrument cluster will light up when wear limit (2 to 3 mm) is reached.

Always replace both sides.

Before installing the pads, clean the guide surfaces and apply a thin coating of lubricating paste (G 000 650).

Removing and installing. Refer to => [ Brake Pads, C54 ] Brake Pads, C54.

Check thickness.
