Power Front Memory Seats
• From 06.2006, the usual wiring harness routing to connector station under front seat. Refer to => [ Connectors, Disconnecting ] Front Seats has been replaced with modular wiring routing => [ Modular Wiring Routing Assembly Overview, from June 2006 ] Front Seats.
• The modular wiring routing has not been implemented for all countries.
• Check version of front seat and of vehicle and perform repairs accordingly.
• Note the two possible versions of the modular wiring routing, Modular Light or Modular. Refer to => [ Modular Wiring Routing Versions ] Front Seats.
Airbag Adapter, Connecting
• Before disconnecting ignition and ground wiring, technician must electrostatically discharge him/herself (touch door striker plate or pin briefly).
CAUTION!
The Airbag Adapter (VAS 6036) must stay connected to seat until seat is installed again.
1 - Seat Connector Power Supply Connector (Red)
2 - Current Supply - Airbag Adapter Connector (Red)
3 - Airbag Adapter Connector (Yellow)
4 - Airbag Connector (Yellow)
• Disconnect ignition and ground wiring.
• Connect the airbag connector - 4 - to the airbag adapter connector - 3 -.
• If present: Connect voltage supply connector for airbag adapter - 2 - to voltage supply connector for seat - 1 -.
