Affected Vehicles
Condition
Information concerning catalyst efficiency results (Mode 6) and driving distance with MIL on (Mode 1) is not reported to generic OBD scan tools.
Technical Background
All diagnostic and functional parameters are calculated properly. This ECM update will not increase or decrease engine performance.
Production Solution
Updated software in the Engine Control Module (J623) to SW Level 0030.
Service
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the ECM (J623) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
Warranty
Required Parts and Tools
^ Approved battery charger.
^ VAS 5051A and VAS 5051B must be connected to 110V AC Power supply at all times during procedure.
