Check DTC Memory (Scan Tool Function 02)

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory, Checking (Function 02)

NOTE: The DTCs indicated are only updated when initiating On Board Diagnostic (OBD)or with "Erase DTC Memory" function 05.

- Switch printer on by pressing PRINT button (indicator light in button comes on).

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

- Press buttons -0- and -2- to select "Check DTC Memory" function 05.

Indicated on display:

Rapid data transfer Q
02 - Check DTC Memory

- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

The number of stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) is shown on the display.

X DTC recognized

Stored DTCs are displayed in sequence and printed out one after another.
- Repair malfunctions printed out according to DTC Table.

If "No DTC recognized" is shown on display

No DTC recognized ->

- Press -> button to return VAG1551 scan tool to "Select function XX" mode.

Select function XX

If anything else is indicated on display See VAG1551 Scan Tool (ST) operating instructions.
- Press buttons -0- and -6- to select "End Output" function 06. End Output (Function 06)
- Switch ignition off.
- Disconnect VAG1551 scan tool from DLC.
