- V.A.G 1390 hand vacuum pump

Test Conditions
- Performance deficiency or load change shocks

Test Sequence

NOTE: Deceleration shut-off valve is located in front of turbocharger. It is opened by vacuum during deceleration and at idle.







- Place V.A.G 1390 vacuum pump on recirculating valve.
- Activate vacuum pump.
- Recirculating valve must open - arrow -

- After about 30 seconds, activate vacuum pump ventilation valve.
- Recirculating valve must close - arrow -

If recirculating valve does not open or close or if valve plate is not properly sealed when recirculating valve is closed:
- Replace recirculating valve. Secure recirculating valve connections with screw clamps.
