Brake System Vacuum Pump, Removing and Installing

There is no provision for repairing the brake system vacuum pump V192. The pump must be replaced if defective.

Removing

- Unscrew hex bolt securing guard plate.





- Unscrew bolts -1- on bracket for vacuum pump on left side of subframe.
- Disconnect vacuum hose - arrow - from vacuum pump.
- Unplug electrical connector.
- Take out brake system vacuum pump V192.





- To remove bracket - arrow -, unscrew nut -2- from bolt -1-.
- Remove bolt -4- and detach bracket.
- To disassemble bracket further, remove bolts -3-.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse sequence.
