Backrest Cover And Padding, Removing And Installing

CAUTION:

- Always observe updated safety precautions for working on airbags.
- On vehicles with side airbags, always observe updated safety precautions for side airbag.







1 - Backrest cover
- Remove seat.
- Remove seat cushion.
- Remove adjuster knob and release handle.
- Remove trim for side fittings (left and right).
- Remove side airbag.
- Remove head restraint by pressing catch on left-hand rod.
- Remove head restraint guide
- Bend up metal tab - 9 - on left and right (magnified view - C -).
- Disengage fabric tab - 8 - from metal tab - 9 -.
- Starting from inside, pull retainer hooks - 2 - of piping - 7 - out of mountings - 4 - (magnified views - A - and - B - ).
- Use screwdriver to pry out fabric cover - 1 - from underneath (magnified view - D -).
