On Board Diagnostic (OBD), Technical Data

Control module - J104 coding
During check of DTC memory, control module coding is displayed, e.g.:
^ 8N0 907 379: Vehicles with front wheel drive and ABS/EDL/ATC without MSR
^ 8N0 907 379: Vehicles with all wheel drive and ABS/EDL without MSR DTC memory
^ Continuous memory; content remains even with supply voltage interruption.

Data output
^ Occurs in operating mode 1 (Rapid data transmission)
^ The indicator light for ABS/EDL - K47, the red brake warning symbol and the ATC indicator light - K86 light up if a malfunction is recognized and the ABS/EDL or ATC system is shut off.

Functions





1) Required only for vehicles with EDL.
2) If malfunction occurs in the system while one of these functions is being conducted, it is recognized. This is indicated by warning light - K47 lighting up. This is an aid for tracing sporadic malfunctions.

Notes: Only the listed functions can currently be used for On Board Diagnostic.
