Turbocharger Recirculating Valve, Checking

NOTE: Valve is open between connection to intake manifold and connection to deceleration shut-off valve with no voltage. Connection to vacuum reservoir is closed.

Test Sequence
- Switch off ignition.
- Disconnect connector from Turbocharger Recirculating Valve -N249-.
- Measure resistance between terminals of valve.







Specified value: 25 to 30 Ohms

If the specification is not obtained:
- Replace Turbocharger Recirculating Valve -N249-

If the specified values are obtained:
- Connect test box to control module wiring harness. Test Box, Connecting For Wiring Test The engine control module remains disconnected.
- Check wire between test box socket 105+2-pin connector terminal 2 for open circuit according to wiring diagram.







Wiring resistance: max. 1.5 Ohms

- Also check the wire for short circuit to B+ and Ground (GND).

If no malfunction is found in wire:
- Check wire between 2-pin connector terminal 1 and the Fuel Pump (FP) Relay -J17-for open circuit according to wiring diagram.

Wiring resistance: max. 1.5 Ohms

If no malfunction is found in wires:
- Replace Engine Control Module (ECM).
- Erase DTC memory of ECM. Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory
- Generate readiness code. Generate Readiness Code
