Navigation System

Description

RNS-E navigation system is an enhancement of the established navigation system II-D. The function selection switch is integrated in the unit (MMI operation). A DVD is used as the navigation CD.

Screen folds away. DVD drive and two MP3 card readers are located behind.

In addition to the navigation system, the RNS-E has a radio, two MP3 card readers and connections for Navigation/TV Tuner (J415) and CD Changer (R41). The DVD drive can play music CDs.

Fault finding is performed via "Guided Fault Finding" using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing & Information System (VAS5051).

Repair to CAN bus lines.
