Parking Brake System: Adjustments






Parking Brake, Adjusting

A new adjustment is necessary only after replacing brake cables, brake calipers or brake discs.

- Remove the rear ashtray from the center console.

- Parking brake lever in released position. Tighten adjustment nut - 2 - so far..






- .. that the lever - 1 - on the brake calipers lift off from their stops - 2 -.






- The distance - a - to stop - 2 - at left and right brake pads together must not fall short 1 mm and not exceed 4 mm.






The distance on one side must not exceed 3 mm and must be greater than 0 mm.

- Apply the parking brake 3 times and then release.

- With parking brake released, check if both wheels can be turned freely. The distance - a - at the calipers is maintained.

Correct the adjustment, if necessary, by adjusting the adjustment nut.

Due to the automatic rear brake adjuster, there is no need to adjust the parking brake after making initial adjustment.
