Rear Bumper Cover

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Socket (T40078)

Removing

- Remove outer tail lamp assembly. .

- Remove rear cross panel trim.

- Loosen the luggage compartment side trim panel near the nuts - 1 -.






- Remove the nuts - 1 - on the left and right sides using a (T40078).

- Remove the bolts - 2 -.

- Remove the bolts - 6 - and - 7 - from the cover for the rear floor trim.






- Remove the bolts - 4 - and - 5 - from the guide.

- Remove the bolts - 1, 2 and 3 - on the bumper cover side pieces.

- Disengage the side walls on the side panel toward the outside - arrows -.

- If equipped, detach the electrical connectors for the parking aid sensor. .

- Remove the bumper cover.

Installing

• Tightening specifications: rear bumper cover, parking aid sensor => [ Rear Bumper Cover, Parking Aid Sensor ] Rear Bumper Cover Overview and rear impact member, lateral guide, rear guide => [ Rear Impact Member, Lateral Guide, Rear Guide ] Rear Bumper Cover Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install the luggage compartment trim panel.

- Install the rear lid end piece trim panel.

- Install the outer tail lamp assembly. .
