94 Light bulb warning for backup bulb





Condition

- Message concerning a light bulb is displayed in the driver information display. The message may be static or sporadic.

- One of the following fault codes may be stored in the Vehicle Electrical System Control Module J519:

- 05EE - Lamp for left reversing light M16 electric fault in the circuit, or

- 05EF - Lamp for right reversing light M17 electric fault in the circuit.

Technical Background

An inoperative bulb or a loose fit of an Osram / Sylvania bulb W16W12V16W for backup light leads to contact problems.

Production Solution

Change to Toshiba bulb installation.

Service





Replace the installed bulb with a bulb from Toshiba.

Tip:

Only use Toshiba bulbs.
