CAUTION!
Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.

Switch the ignition off.

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

After reconnecting vehicle battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according to Repair Information and/or Owner's Manual.

Steps after reconnecting voltage supply => Battery.

Headlamps must be readjusted after performing measures which could affect their setting.





1 Headlamp housing

2 Impact screw

For adjusting headlamp housing to body contour

Must make contact at lock carrier

3 Light bulb for turn signal/parking lamp

12 V, 27/7 W

Orange

Replacing bulb => [ Turn Signal/Parking Lamp, Replacing Bulb ] Halogen Headlamps

4 Light bulb socket

5 Housing cover

6 Bulb for low beam

H1 - 12 V, 55 W

Replacing => [ Low Beam Headlamp, Replacing Bulb ] Halogen Headlamps

7 Bulb for high beam

H9 - 12 V, 65 W

Replacing => [ High Beam Headlamp, Replacing Bulb ] Halogen Headlamps

Halogen Headlamps, Adjusting

Current specifications and procedures for headlamp adjustment:

Adjustment screws on right headlamp.





Arrangement on left headlamp is mirror image of right headlamp.

1. Adjustment screw for height-/lateral adjustment

2. Adjustment screw for vertical adjustment

- For height adjustment, turn adjustment screws - 1 - and - 2 - with the same number of rotations.

- Only use adjustment screw - 1 - for lateral adjustment.
