Selector Lever Handle
Removing
- Place the selector lever in the "D" position.
- Rotate the sleeve - 1 - to left and push downward as far as possible.
- Carefully pull the button - 2 - out of the selector lever handle - 3 - until a cable tie can be inserted between the button and the selector lever handle.
• Do not pull out the button any further, otherwise the selector lever handle will be damaged.
- Secure the button in the pulled out position using a cable tie - arrow - as shown in the illustration.
- Pull the selector lever handle upward and off.
Installing
Installation is in the reverse order of removal, note the following:
- Place the selector lever in the "D" position.
• To install a new selector lever handle - 3 -, the button - 2 - must be pulled out as far as the stop and secured with a cable tie - arrow - or using assembly aid included with the new handle.
• If the button was not secured, it must not be pulled out from the handle using mechanical aids. Apply compressed air to the bottom of the handle and press the button out with the compressed air.
- Place the selector lever handle - 3 - completely onto selector lever, the button - 2 - faces toward driver. When doing this, the handle must engage into the ring groove of the selector lever.
- Remove the cable tie - arrow - or assembly aid, thereby the button mechanism engages in the vertical groove of the selector lever. If necessary press the button into the selector lever handle.
- Pull the sleeve - 1 - upward and engage by rotating clockwise.
