Fuel Gauge Sensor, Terminal Connector Assignments






Instrument Cluster

CAUTION!
Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.

Switch the ignition off.

Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.

After reconnecting vehicle battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according to Repair Information and/or Owner's Manual.

Steps after reconnecting voltage supply => Battery.

Fuel Gauge Sensor, Terminal Connector Assignments

Vehicles with FWD:

Fuel gauge sensor is located in luggage compartment, front right.

- Remove luggage compartment lining.

- Remove cover for connector flange - arrows -.





- Carefully disengage and unplug electrical 4-pin harness connector - arrow -.





Fuel Gauge Sender 4-Pin Connector, Terminal Assignment





1. B+ activation of electrical fuel pump

2. Wire connection from fuel gauge sender to instrument cluster (fuel gauge)

3. Ground (GND) from sender for fuel gauge sensor (sensor Ground)

4. Ground (GND) electrical fuel pump

Vehicles with AWD:

Fuel gauge sensor is located under rear seat bench.

- Remove rear seat bench.

Fuel gauge sensor I (G)

- Remove cover for right sealing flange - arrows -.





- Carefully disconnect and unplug electrical 4-pin harness connector - arrow -, right side of vehicle.





Fuel Gauge Sensor I 4-Pin Connector, Terminal Assignment





1. B+ activation of electrical fuel pump

2. Wire connection from fuel gauge sender to instrument cluster (fuel gauge)

3. Ground (GND) connection for fuel gauge sensor (sensor Ground)

4. Ground (GND) electrical fuel pump

Fuel Level Sensor 2 (G169)

- Remove cover for right sealing flange - arrows -.





- Carefully disconnect and unplug electrical 4-pin harness connector - arrow -, right side of vehicle.
