1 - Rear Seat Backrest

• Removing

- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to => [ Rear Bench Seat ] Rear Bench Seat.

- Remove headrest. Refer to => [ Headrests ] Headrests.

- Remove headrest guides. Refer to => [ Headrest Guides ] Rear Seat Covers and Cushion.

- Open the convertible lid compartment far enough so that it is possible to access the safety belt guides for the rear safety belts.

- Disengage the left and right safety belt guides (Qty. 2). Refer to => [ Rear Three-Point Seat Belt with Belt Tensioner ] Service and Repair, item - 2 -.

- Remove the center armrest.

- Remove the molding on the cover for the safety belt latches. Refer to => [ Removing and Installing the Molding on the Belt
Latch Cover ].

- Remove bolts - 2 - (Qty. 2).

- Remove rear seat backrest - 1 - upward.

- With seat heater: Disconnect seat heater connectors.

• Installing

- With seat heater: Connect the seat heating connector.

- Install the rear seat backrest - 1 -.

- Slide the rear seat backrest - 1 - upward and engage it - 1 - (Qty. 3) at the top.

- Push down rear seat backrest - 1 - all the way down.

- Install bolts - 2 - (Qty. 2).

- Install the headrest guides. Refer to => [ Headrest Guides ] Rear Seat Covers and Cushion.

- Install the headrests. Refer to => [ Headrests ] Headrests.

2 - Screws, (Qty. 2)

• Tightening specification 8 Nm.

Removing and Installing the Molding on the Belt Latch Cover





• Removing

- Remove the molding - 2 - in direction of arrow.

• Installing

- Slide the molding - 2 - opposite the direction of arrow into the clamping strip - 1 -.
