Vent Frame, Checking
- Check the ventilation channels to both ventilation frames - A - for obstruction (left and right).
• Sealing lips - B - in air extraction outlets - A - must move freely and close automatically.
• Blocked (closed) channels or jammed sealing lips may cause windows to fog up.
• The figure shows the ventilation frame with the rear sedan bumper removed. A different type of ventilation frame is installed in the Avant.
• One vent frame is installed on left and right for forced air extraction.
• To ensure proper function of the passenger compartment ventilation, vent openings - C - integrated in the luggage compartment trim must not be sealed.
